Boards and Commissions provide a valuable service to the City of Shoreline in many areas of municiple government. Citizens of Shoreline may apply for board membership as current positions become vacant. These boards advise the City Council and in some cases, have authority as bestowed by the City Council to be a decision-making body.

Board members serve four-year terms for no more than three consecutive terms. Two members of each PRCS Board are between the ages of 15 and 19 and serve as a valuable voice of the youth in our community. All boards  meet regularly to discuss issues and processes relevant to the area in which they serve.  Agenas for each Board meeting are available online prior to the meeting and minutes are archived and available for public review.

All Board meetings are open to the public and each meeting designates a period of time for Public Comment during which any member of the community may address the Board concerning an agenda item or any other item of interest.
