Capital Improvements
Fifteen years ago residents incorporated Shoreline as a City so they could receive better, even exceptional, services for their tax dollar. Looking back, who could have imagined we would have accomplished so much in the short 15 years since incorporation? Concrete evidence of these accomplishments can be seen in the capital investments that have been made across our city.

Parks and Recreation
The City of Shoreline has worked hard to meet residents expectations since incorporation, and Shoreline families, neighborhoods and businesses have much to be proud of. Making Shoreline a great community takes the work of many. One service area that contributes to our quality of life is the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department.

Operational Services
Every dollar of taxpayers' money spent in Shoreline is an investment in Shoreline's future. The positive impacts of this investment can be seen through the many important operational services Shoreline provides directly and locally to its residents.

Quality of Life Partners
The City of Shoreline prides itself on the variety of services offered to the community in the most cost efficient manner possible. One of the ways the City maximizes taxpayer money is to partner with outside organizations to provide services. These "Quality of Life" Partners assist the City in a number of areas including human services; cultural services; recreation; neighborhoods; natural environment; and public safety.

Police Services
The police department has helped make the City of Shoreline one of the finest and safest cities in the Seattle region. Services are contracted through the King County Sheriff's Office, but officers are dedicated to Shoreline, wear Shoreline uniforms and drive Shoreline patrol cars.
