Fleet, Facilities and Property Management (FFPM) is responsible for managing City-owned property and assets. Fleet administration, facility maintenance, janitorial services and facility leasing are some of the services provided by this division.
Fleet
The FFPM division is responsible for all services related to the City's vehicles. Our goal is to ensure that City staff have safe, reliable and cost-effective vehicles and equipment to provide excellent service to the residents of Shoreline. Some of Fleet’s responsibilities are:
- Performing preventive maintenance and providing service to the City's 48 vehicles and various equipment
- Performing all title and tag activity
- Performing all safety and emission inspections
- Vehicle acquisition and surplusing services
Facilities
All City-owned buildings, offices, parks, recreational and restroom facilities are also managed by the FFPM division, which performs general maintenance and small-scale work using in-house labor and contract services. It is part of the City’s policy to purchase and use products that meet green standards and to contract with vendors that make use of environmentally friendly practices.
Beginning in August 2010, the City will solicit proposals for on-call HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other related work for all City facilities, including City Hall. Contractors must comply with local and state regulations (i.e., safety, prevailing wages, etc.).
For more information about the bid process, please consult the Bids & RFP page on our website.
