Shoreline homicide suspect charged, still at large
Detectives have identified a suspect in the May 16 homicide in Richmond Beach and ask residents to call 911 if he is seen. The shooting was not a random act and was not part of a gang conflict.
New Police Chief Named
City Manager Julie Underwood has selected Shawn Ledford of the King County Sheriff’s Office to be the City’s new Police Chief. Ledford replaces Dan Pingrey who has been promoted to Chief of the Patrol Operations Division of the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Summer Lunchtime Concert Series 2012
We are excited to announce the lineup for the free Tuesday lunchtime concert series this summer, on stage July 10 through August 14. Plus, check out free concerts in parks on Wednesday evenings!
Shoreline Parks are tobacco free
Tobacco-free parks help reduce exposure to second-hand smoke and reduce pollution from cigarette butts, which is one of the main sources of litter in public places.
Sheep, llamas and goats help with vegetation management
Don’t be surprised if you see goats, llamas, and sheep eating grass and invasive weeds in and around several City surface water facilities over the next several weeks. They're hard at work!
